How  I became the Kids Coach

My name is Andrea Robson and my business, Inspired Learning, is all about inspiring children and adults to thrive and meet their individual potential. I especially work with children from the age of 6 years upwards. Recently, a 10 year old girl was out visiting family from the UK. She was having a tough time at school and her family wanted her to talk to someone who would give her some real tools and skills that she could take back to school with her. Her family explained to her that I was the “kids coach” and was here to help her. The name  was both a perfect fit for what I do and explained very clearly to children what I am. In this way, I became the kids coach.

What is a Kids Coach?

What I loved most about my time in schools was working alongside children and parents – supporting them through all kinds of situations and working in partnership to make things better. As the kids coach, this is what I now do full time – I help kids to solve problems and make life that bit easier, improve communication at home, and build their self-esteem.

From many years of experience, I  know that parents worry about  their children. You want to see them thrive and face the world with confidence and resilience – yet there are times when you feel both you and your child need a neutral third party to give you both some positive, pro-active support. As the kids coach, this is exactly what I do; I support them through the process of making positive changes.

What do Kids Talk About With a Kids Coach?

It might be their self-esteem, friendships, respecting adults, attitude at home or school – or their behaviour towards their siblings or other family members. It could be something small that’s having a big impact. It could be that they need someone to have a chat with and come up with solutions to make the positive change today for a brighter tomorrow.
